Desert Wind

I finally was able to sit down and create a vector piece after a long while. Anyways, I had been wanting to do another character based piece just for fun and this is what I've come up with. Influences include Dune, Star Wars and uh.. heck, just throw in random scifi stuff in

The story:

She is Desert Wind, born within a nomadic clan of a desert planet. She discovered her special gift after a fateful day during her childhood years when her clan members were being hunted down by Imperial mercenaries. As she watched her kin being executed one by one, she found within herself through anger and desperation, the ability to harness the energy of the desert air. She unleashed a sandstorm so furious and powerful that no one was left alive including her own family, and she was left alone in tragic solitude. Suffering from guilt and remorse, she feared her destructive powers so much that she decided to live a solitary life away from humanity until she was able to come to grips with her tragic past and was able to control and master her devastating gift.

She finally returned to her people many years later and discovered that many of the clans have been scattered throughout like the winds. After venturing forth and uniting the clans together, she led an uprising against the Imperialist rulers until freedom was achieved. After the conquest, she became the sovereign protector of all the lands and her name was written into history and legend.
